This is a robust online painting course designed for serious artists who desire to strengthen their skills, giving them powerful tools for further development.
It is extremely rare to find a workshop that focuses exclusively on Light & Shadow. Learn how to add drama to your studio or plein air paintings! Understand how to work with light and shadows. Master the light and shadows in your artwork.
I address many of the questions plein air artists have, giving them solutions to these problems, and taking the plein air field painting back into the studio to develop a larger painting.
In this course I take the student through the thought process of painting a green landscape. I teach how to compose and simplify what you see, and understand how to mix color that suggests light, form and atmosphere in a summer landscape.
These days, smart phones give us instant access to a good camera. We can take good pictures of everyday people doing ordinary things, any time, any place. In this course I teach how to create good compositions and the process of simplifying and constructing the painting.
